Заключение
Психология как наука стала развиваться позднее, чем экономика.
Поэтому неудивительно, что в теории экономического поведения долгое время преобладал экономический подход максимизации полезности. Однако сейчас ситуация изменилась. Объясняющая сила моделей экономического поведения может быть значительно повышена с помощью введения в эти модели психологических переменных, в особенности из области когнитивной и социальной психологии (Frey, 1983). На это указывают исследования потребительского поведения, в которых психологические переменные начинают играть все более важную роль.Интеграция экономики и психологии может быть достигнута в расширенной области исследования предпочтений и ограничений. Фрай называет это обогащенным пониманием предпочтений и ограничений (Frey, 1983). Формирование и изменение предпочтений происходит под влиянием социализации, референтных групп, средств массовой коммуникации, и, значит, для их изучения можно использовать психологические теории, хотя определенное влияние оказывают также и экономические факторы (Kapteyn, Wansbeek, 1982). Экономические теории многое могут «сказать» об ограничениях в отношении доходов, времени, пространства, а также об институциональных ограничениях. Психология же может внести вклад в изучение восприятия ограничений и самонакладываемых (self-imposed) ограничений.
Иногда ограничения решающим образом определяют экономическое поведение, как, например, в случае бедности. Однако в государствах Запада множество людей имеют достаточную свободу действий в отношении своих расходов и сбережений. Они пытаются использовать редкие ресурсы, находящиеся в их распоряжении, наилучшим образом, что им не всегда удается благодаря психологическим ограничениям, связанным с приобретением и обработкой информации.
Экономическая психология не только вносит вклад в прикладные области экономики, она имеет огромное значение для развития самой экономической теории. Надеемся, что после эконометрической революции 1940-х гг. мы станем свидетелями «поведенческой» революции 1990-х. Подобное развитие теории будет с энтузиазмом поддержано экономической психологией.
